KRASLICE

The design responds to the limits set by the presence of the watercourse. The solution therefore reflects the need to prevent riders themselves, as well as skateboards and scooters, from falling into the water/wet ground. Secondly, the design tries to use the retaining wall and the existing embankment that lines the pump track. The reason is to maintain a smooth connection to the pump track and minimal soil manipulation. The skatepark design retains traditional elements such as radii, bangs, rails and boxes, but also offers unique elements such as “freefill radius”, “roll-on”, or “chinabank”. The design playfully uses all necessary/functional elements for the ride itself. The longitudinal box, which serves as a barrier to the watercourse, also creates a space for rest and is also a movable element along its entire length. The obstacles in the corners of the skatepark, i.e. banks and radii, are adapted to allow riders to ride smoothly in both directions, which is defined by the shape of the land. The skatepark will open to public in fall 2025.
