BRATISLAVA SNP

The design uses the obvious potential of the space under the structure of the legendary SNP bridge in Bratislava. The leisure area with a skatepark and workout functions as a covered sports area, which works to the maximum extent with the existing linearity of the bridge structure - the pillars and the bank at the foot of the bridge. The unique location - the city center, the presence of the river and the city park - makes the area an exceptional place for all residents of the city. The pillars of the bridge naturally delimit the areas with the main obstacles and functionally divide the area into three segments. The park is sensitively separated from the sidewalk and cycle path by a granite curb, which also serves as an element of the street section. The lighting in the original bridge structure was restored under the bridge for evening use of the area. With the help of residential stairs, a background for users was created.

The four-month construction abroad was naturally a challenge for us. We are very satisfied with the result and a huge thank you goes to our team and friendly builders from Poland, Hungary and Slovakia ( @sketon_skateparks ), who helped us significantly with the project. Thanks Bratislava!
